Central Alabama Wellness
is here for you in your time of need. We treat individuals throughout the life span with a variety of difficulties.

We are a public, non-profit corporation governed by a 10 member board appointed by Chilton and Shelby County Commissions under the authority of Alabama Act 310.

Central Alabama Wellness is a member of the Alabama Council for Community Mental Health Boards and is certified by the Alabama Department of Mental Health.

Resources

Central Alabama Wellness provides access to a number of health and wellness related resources throughout Chilton and Shelby Counties. These resources include residential placement for qualifying patients, school based services for children, multiple location for convenience in Shelby and Chilton Counties, employment assistance for qualifying patients, prevention activities, educational classes on a variety of subjects and referrals.

Services

Central Alabama Wellness provides an array of services to children, adolescents and adults dealing with mental illness and/or substance use disorder and Intellectual Disability. These services include individual and group therapy, residential services for qualifying patients, substance abuse treatment, case management, prevention, and other community services and referrals.

We support several wellness related events throughout Chilton and Shelby Counties. Many of these events provide access to wellness professionals, services and information.

Central Alabama Wellness

Central Alabama Wellness provides an array of services for individuals dealing with mental illness and/or substance use disorders.

In our substance use programs, priority admission is given to the following populations in the order given: Pregnant individuals with intravenous (IV) substance use disorders, Pregnant individuals with substance use disorders, All other individuals with IV substance use disorders, Women with substance use disorders and dependent children, Individuals who are HIV positive (adult specific), All other individuals with substance use disorders.

Services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, other than case management, are based upon available waiver services as approved by the State of Alabama Department of Mental Health.
